Apparently this is about to happen?
Various india media news outlets are saying similar stuff, for 22bn it seems they got a massive discount
So over $190M per jet, France must have some good negotiators. Whatever bribe they gave out was definitely worth the money spend. All to get shot down by some 20K each PL15s... I don't actually know how much each PL15 costs.

The point is those planes costs an order of magnitude more than whatever will shoot them down from Pakistan. I love how India doubles down on Rafale and waste their entire military budget. By the time they get them Pakistan will be flying J35E and spanking them hard.
I mean, that applies to any aircraft against any missile. The issue is where else can India get fighter of sufficient capabilities to at least compare to Pakistan's capabilities at the very least. They've been driven to the wall a bit with having neither the domestic industry capable of producing such jets that are both capable enough and in mass while also having few suppliers to choose from. Not an enviable position to say the very least.

$190m is cheaper than other deals involving the Rafale. Egypt, Qatar, and previous Indian Rafale deal was over $240m. The recent Serbian deal was $225m.

Edit:
After this deal, the Rafale project will have earned ~$65b in foreign sales.
