Nice catch, i did saw the video the other day. I was curious about the PAF claim the Su-30MKIs carried Derby missiles (asked about this previously), and if this image is really from Sindoor it seems the MKI carried the standard russian AAMs. Which seems to corroborate with some articles claiming that the Derby integration was dropped.

India is selling 155mm artillery shells to NATO countries. Which then get sent to Ukraine. India have no right to even demand something like that from Russia.
India would have thrown Russia under the bus if Trump just demanded these things in private and praised "Indian power" in public. But Trump being Trump doesn't stoke India's ego and thus India has act tough in public.

The Indians are supposedly developing the Astra Mk 2 AAM. So why waste money on Derby?
They have i-derby for Tejas anyway.

Given emergency procurement of RVV-SD this may, I don't think things went smoothly with Astra, MKI and 29s. They clearly expected Astra to be available, and uncertainty is sufficient to order emergency substitute.

Which is troublesome - RVV-SD almost perfectly matches Astra in performance, and overall they're sort of sister missiles.

Pakistan has never even claimed 15 kills. What they are doing is conjuring false facts, millions of Jai-Hinds will amplify it, theyll creates hundreds of pages on it and over the time, google algorithms will push this shit in search results and suddenly you will have alternative history. They will then use their mads and cite on wikipedia etc. They are doing same with books, have bullshit published, then cite those as facts.

This is purely for internal consumption.

But its good to see politicisation of Indian armed forces. Modi is great for India's neighbours. He has eroded systematically, all Indian instituitions. GDP growth is mostly being funnelled to his top 0.1% friends.

That's a bit harsh on the most successful 4.5 gen in the world. Which doesn't even come with American goodwill...
Lol! "The most successful" 4.5 gen in the world? How many air to air kills have the Rafales scored in actual combat? Last I checked, it was still zero. The last time the Rafale fought in a proper air to air combat, it was a one-sided defeat. The best combat record for the Rafale is by the French Air Force bombarding third-world militaries in Libya and Syria.

There are other 4.5 gen aircrafts who can claim better achievements. Most notably are the J-10CEs, and the Su-35s. The J-10CEs defeated the Rafale itself, not some outdated Mig-29s or Mig-21s. The English-speaking world can doubt all they like, but that doesn't change the facts.

Yes, the Rafale is still an excellent 4.5 gen, one must never underestimate it. And the way the Indian Airforce had incompetently used it doesn't do it justice. But the most successful 4.5 gen in the world? That's really over the top.

Who is India to tell Russia not to sell jet engines to? What is India gonna do if Russia doesn't listen? Boycott Russian arms and fighter engines?

China had never complained when Russia sold their more advanced Flankers to India. Or when Russia allowed India to sell Brahmos to the Philippines.

India is truly delusional, daring to complain to Russia from a position of weakness.
