Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited an Indian military base near the border with Pakistan, where he posed for a photo in front of the S-400 Triumph air defense system purchased from Russia. According to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Russian S-400 air defense missile systems, as well as other combat systems, played a key role during Operation Sindoor. Let me remind you that India used S-400 Triumph air defense systems in the confrontation with Pakistan on May 8. In 2018, India signed an agreement to purchase five divisions of S-400 air defense systems for $ 5.43 billion. The first S-400 air defense missile system received from Russia was deployed in the state of Punjab on the border with Pakistan in 2021

Bharat Forge, Mahindra among private defence suppliers instructed to step up production of munition, carriers​

The government is learnt to have reached out to multiple private companies that are into defence equipment production, including Bharat Forge and Mahindra & Mahindra’s defence division. This is linked to specific instructions being issued to private vendors for upscaling supplies of certain ammunition, including for anti-drone and smart ammunition, alongside equipment such as armored vehicles that can be integrated with different weaponry — loitering munitions and guided missiles.

Instructions have been issued to these private players to step up output of some items, including designated ammunition, over and above what is already being produced by the ordnance factories. Sources in the industry said these suppliers are likely to be summoned for a follow-up meeting shortly.

The directive preceded the decision to stop firing and military action from 5 pm on May 10 after an understanding between India and Pakistan. But, there were drone activities reported in several parts of Kashmir and Gujarat subsequent to the announcement

If the US admin seemed at least competent then I would have argued that the F-35 buy was still very much possible, as a Mariana Trench level psy op.

After knowing that the F35 would be grounded by a button, India would never purchase it.

It has been discussed that S-400 are upgraded modernized S-300. And per Russian doctrine that S-400 is to be supplemented by S-300 batteries for best effect. S-500 are again upgraded S-400 system with more ABM capabilities. Correct me if im wrong.
