first of all india is not replacing mig29s

capability wise(i meant payload and other stuff)Mig29 is as good as the SH or rafale
but
mig29 really dont stand a chance against fa18 or rafale avionics wise.
MiG-29k is designed for as small carrier as 28k tons. unless we have payload, performance, range figures of F-18E/Rafale for carrier size we cannot conclude they have same capability.
original MIG-29K was designed under IN budget constraints 20 years ago. after that RuaN took 24 delivery and after that on that technological basis Egyptian MIG-29M (targeting pod integration) created. now post covid post ukraine shortages and cost price increase will have very different result. assuming a new MIG-29K is created with similar avionics like PAKFA.

The external fuel tanks of MIG-29K are sleeker closed together with larger tank between engine so aerodynamic penalty should be less and space for extra weopons.

Rafale has larger wing tanks.

PAF Busted IAF Surveillance Aircraft

Courtsey - Windjammer @ PDF

Reportedly on the morning of 4th August, an Indian Air Force surviliance aircraft, based on Bombardier Global 5000, attempted to intrude into Pakistani airspace over Sindh area and was promptly intercepted by PAF jets. It was tracked and monitored for Ten minutes before it left the arena. I guess the Indian pilots weren't keen for some Pakistani tea.

They back at it again @Sardaukar20

"Six countries interested"

Wow the United States is reportedly "interested" in purchasing Tejas, because it is far 'superior' to the 'lowly' F-22 and F-35.

We 'cow'er in fear at the superiority of the Indian fighter jet.
Not many good news recently for India. So some Jai Hind had to write up some cow dung story to soothe the Jai Hind ego.

The Tejas lost out to the T-50 in the Philippines, Indonesia, and possibly Malaysia. South Korea is four places behind India in economic size, but is able to blow India away in defence exports. You can almost feel the butthurt coming out of India.

Tejas for the USAF? I wanna know what that writer is high on. It's must be some powerful stuff. The US won't even buy it for OPFOR training. Because nobody else is gonna buy it.

Jai Hind.
Well, lets wait for them to come up with some Jai Hind superpowah India 'news' soon. My guess, its gonna be some follow up of the US-India joint exercise near the Chinese border. Which many of us are already well aware at this point.

Alternatively, we could hear more Jai Hind fantasy story of India potentially winning some deal to sell Tejas/Arjun/Brahmos to someone.

Actually this might be a huge savings for USN, repairing large support ships, without any sensitive tech onboard, in Indian shipyards, for maybe 10% of the costs of the same job being done in USA.
Next move might be even order new such low end big ships from India. Looks like a smart move to me.

Price might be attractive. But this is Indian shipyards that we are talking about. USN might need to get insurance for ships going in there. Nobody is even sure if those ships could get out.
