India still have problem with insurgency from local peasants. 22 security personals were killed on Saturday, 3rd April.
Earlier 5 were killed by IED while on a bus,

Modi is still having to deal with a resurgence in Covid cases. Over 90,000 cases were reported on Saturday. Looks like the economy for this year is not going well so far.

Indian troops shooting and killing some people at a polling booth. What is going on? Isn't an election supposed to allow a 'peaceful' transition of power?

Why would mobs attack troops. I find that very hard to believe. At most they would have been shouting at them and throwing non-lethal objects their way AT MOST. Classic semantics here with the "attacked" wording. To those journalists, even hurling a word could be called an attack.
