I would give them the benefit of the doubt except that the planeform matches exactly with that of FC-31 V1.0! I can't help but wonder if the picture is just a placeholder they ripped from some PLAAF fansite.
I think that AVIC management should show this slide to the folks working on the FC-31 and warn them that if they don't work faster, AMCA might enter service before the FC-31. That would be a very good motivational speech.
