Its been almost 10 years since this thread began. How have things aged?

I don’t think anything has changed on the ground. It’s just their defence journalists who stir this up every few months.
Things aged bad for India. Their most potent air defenses are still the S-400 and Barak-8, and they still have no fifth gen in the pipeline. The Chinese air and strike complex would literally wipe the floor with that anti-air apparatus. Whatever they put near Malacca and Andaman would be trivially easy to remove for the PLAAF bomber command.
It was and still is gooning material for Indian defense enthusiasts on Twitter and WhatsApp.
How this will actually work is:
-China and India gets into some conflict
-The PLA completely crushes the Indian military
-India make some vague threat about Malacca
-The PLA withdraws/ceasefires after military objectives were met
-India declares COMPLETE VICTORY FOR CHECKMATING CHINA
-Jai Hind celebrates on the streets, India declares national holiday, Chinese shipping moves as usual
I mean it already happened at Galwan… Add in some impotent complaints about sovereignty infringement from Congress opposition and this is perfect analysis.

Don't you love how everyone now thinks they're another Iran where they think they can play the part of David against Goliath. It's all in the head like the tortoise and the hare. The hare still moves faster but lost because of the arrogance thinking it was superior. Look at Japan. They think it's the same for them. They thought they were automatically in the superior position because they were allied with the US. Just like before the emergence of the J20, Japan and South Korea talked as if they had stealth fighters because the US had them. They are the Goliath who thought that it was a fact they would win.
Anyone notice the Indian YouTube videos surfacing that asks who will dominate the world... India or China? What happened to the US in that game? India jumping off a sinking ship that despite all of the US's might, they can't handle the Iranians and now India thinks they can jump onto Iran's boat. Or how about Taiwan relishing thinking they can kill a 100 million Chinese if they strike the Three Gorges Dam. Yes ignore how the West whines about how illegal it is in targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine and for Iran to it's neighbors. Taiwan only has 23 million people. A hundred million easily justifies wiping out 23 million. Maybe they'll cry that most of them are just civilians and would be illegal...? The only way they can be that obtuse is because they were hiding behind the myth of American might and arrogance. All of them were counting on the US doing all their dirty work and now they think the can take where the US left off...? All of the sudden the spoiled princess doesn't need to call for her white knight?
