I propose

I must confess, this thread has been on my mind over the weekend, and now, after several comments and announcements posted, I'm surprised you still haven't at least responded. Hence the formal request to do so promptly, to provide an explanation, perhaps even an apology... and if that doesn't happen, I will delete this thread and ban you without any further comment.
If he's banned, can we still keep the thread? The way he just titled it 'I propose', as well as the stilted, overly-formal language in the OP, is pure comedy.

I propose that we keep the thread on and make it about all the members' proposals, could be about their life or this forum, would be fun to read.
This thread is so random. So many questions! Is he banned already? What specifically was he talking about, meaning was he dissapointed about not being able to post more controversial things than he would have liked, or what? Did he have a prior history of outbursts or not playing well with others? Better to memorialize this thread or delete it as a weird outlier?

It is really interesting actually, and makes me think a lot about the nature of large groups in general. Have any of the moderators considered reaching out to the individual privately, just to gain insight?

I propose that we introduce a mandatory 500 word essay before posting any blurry Weibo photos, including a PhD-level thesis on why the pixelation proves hypersonic capability.

I also propose: no photo analysis without at least 3 circles, 2 arrows, and one unsubstantiated rumor from an uncle's cousin's neighbor who totally works at the shipyard.

Maybe we just need an outlet, so we don’t pollute flagship threads as well?

But still something semi-serious. A ‘Less Credible SDF’, if you will. And no separation by service branch, equipment, or topic— just a messy free-for-all.

In addition to the above, I also propose that mods establish a ban quota over the 30 days following each notable PLA or world affairs moment that draws in new users.

E.g.: like no matter the behaviour, anyone who joins between September 3rd and October 3rd will enter a special daily prize draw, where mods select 3 of them for permanent bans. Brutal, but it’s bound to spare us from at least 1 in 3 new idiots.

And there should be situations where we have moratoriums on new users. Two examples that come to mind are H-20 finally being revealed and AR (if the forum doesn’t get nuked lol).
