How China Steals U.S. Military Secrets

I'm just a new poster, but I feel that I want to respond to the last particular point. Most of the bio labs being set up in China are due to more lax laws regarding research into these fields, such as stem cells and the like. While western nations are mixing in religion into science, and slowing down progress in their respective fields, the rest of the world has a much more open view of the matter. Singapore boasts some of the most advanced bio research facilities in the world for instance, and they regularly receive western scientists who are tired of always being bogged down in the west.

It's not necessarily because Asians are now smarter or Westerners are dumber. Most of the time, it's just Westerners working in Asian labs due to more freedoms in research there. Freedoms brought about by Asia's burning desire to match or surpass the west.

As for the stealing matter, stealing is stealing as the other said. But students going into western schools and universities is not stealing anything, merely exploiting the advantage they will have by going to these schools.

China has stolen western technology either by direct theft, or through indirect tech transfers with other nations. (Like Israel, who receives a lot of western technology and money, and has no real qualms about selling some to China.)

The West has stolen Chinese technology. Simply because there were no IP laws in the past doesn't stop stealing technology any different. Only the name of the act has changed, while the act has remained the same.

To side step this whole stealing issue all together, it would be preferable to say that Humanity as a whole is simply evening itself out, and newer, better advancements will result over all.

I agree except the reasons about the Western companies investing into the Chinese R&D sector. I agree about the lax rules in regards to biotech on that point but that's only a small fraction compared to the technological sector.

I made no mention about who's dumber. The other guy did.

So some should stop pointing the finger and trolling posting last ditch attempts to salvage something from their insecurities about the future.

Everyone steals. Look at the origins of the cold war era weapons. There is really nothing wrong with it. After all, why reinvent the wheel?

Well if you know about those caucasoid mummies found in the Western part of China, Western scientists were making the claim that the West did give the wheel and everything else to China. Funny for a group of people they even said were nomadic and had a culture that was a mongrelization of cultures of where they traveled, somehow they can make the conclusion that Europeans where actually the mother of invention in China. More biased bull.

When the year 2000 was coming around the corner, everyone was making their "lists" for the occasion. On one of the round-table news discussion shows on the weekend had "the most ominous invention of the 20th century" and one of the "experts" said gunpowder because it ushered in the nuclear age and nuclear weapons. So by that logic do the Chinese get to take credit for nuclear technology since they're getting blamed for nuclear weapons because of the discovery of gunpowder? I love how the definition of reality changes according to what serves one's interests best.

that's beside the point. By arguing with Kongo, you're, by default, fixated on the same pointless debate. Kongo is too dumb to even offer a valid counter point, but why do you even want to talk to that moron? You know that neither of you is ever going to change your perspective, so why not just keep the forum cordial and stay away from topics like this?

Because I know it bugs the hell out of him. Just like the neocon flamer several weeks ago that got banned. He didn't like people daring to question his arguments.

This was a pointless flaming thread in the beginning. Since it's open to debate, might as well knock down illogical arguments made in here.

Ok, since you werent about to listen, thread closed! This sort of BS in general doesen't fit into our goals and purposes as a discusion forum so I will be watching more carefully this forum and its topics. So new members, take notice, this is chinese military forum. ..And flamebait topics in manner to bash china arent 'exactly' relevant to chinese military issues.
