Obviously not. These idiots were hoping that the U.S. and the West will come in and "rescue" them from their life of "suffering and lack of freedom, with their liberty taken away".
When you think Hong Kong was the freest place on earth under all the western defination and indexes.
So in a way, they have their fears of lack of liberty and freedom realised in the forms of imprisonment. And wheres the western white knights? Talked about being played and done up like a kipper!
Just like a condom, once used, then discarded.

I'm pretty sure many of these roaches regret that they protested against the Extradition bill. What would've happened if it passed ? Couple of folks would get extradited after years of legal battles? Thats about it. Now after NSL literally their entire "Movement" has been finished and China doesn't even need to extradite them to teach a lesson.
These roaches really underestimated Xi's resolve .

Back in 2019, "Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our times" was an ubiquitous slogan in the city, chanted by tens of thousands as they took to the streets in pro-democracy demonstrations.
But this week a man was convicted partly because he was carrying a flag emblazoned with the phrase.
Activists say the landmark ruling marks "the beginning of the end" for freedom of expression in Hong Kong.
