Its not even a C96 its a type 17 a chinese clone of the mauser chambered in 45ACP

Hey, could be one of the originals. Type 17 is for the warlord army, Captain China captured his from this guy.

I am more looking at the Shape of the Weapon. And having googled a few pics it seems to jump back and forth between the two In one cover you can clearly see the Type 17 trigger guard in another It's got the smaller style of the C96
In the pic on the letge running form the back of the internal Magazine too the Curved trigger guard. That's Indicative of the Type 17 besides IT's just as likely too have been used by both sides in the chinese revolution. And being A chinese Made pistol Would appeal too the Made in china Mystic of A Propiganda Super hero. After all Captain America Just looks wrong with the Glock.
