Happy Lunar New Year

I saw the 春晚 + tons of fire works in SH. fire works is better than last year but the 春晚 is not so good this year.

Oh...and Happy Lunar New Year to everyone in this forum.

Yeah, I remember the fireworks and fire crackers when I was in Shanghai last year. It was like being in a war zone!

The show wasn't as good as last year, but it wasn't a complete disaster since they had Phoenix Legend (凤凰传奇) near the end. :p

Seriously though, that piece with the kids' toys was annoying as hell. Who the hell thought that one up?

Liu Qian's magic tricks were pretty interesting. The most impressive one is when he put his hand through the glass table.

The Kid show in the gala is meant to promote the animation industry. The government is concerned about the invasion of foreign culture ...especially its effect on the young people.

Anyone to share how your country celebrate Lunar New Year?

In where I live (my neighbourhood), it is pretty quite, not much was being done, but I do caught a few glimpses of lion dances. But mainly we go and visit our close relatives and that is it. Not sure about the rest of the country (however small my country is), but the road seemed pretty empty and I always had this nagging feeling that Lunar New Year in Singapore is not really as festive as it used to be in the past.
