There is no stealthy alternative in Europe atm. and F35 can be delivered pretty soon, at least compared to other fighters
I expect another 40-50 EF T5 will be ordered along with a equal number of Airbus Wingman

What's the rush? Do you want to use it to drop satnav guided nukes on Russia at short ranges? Russia the country with the largest and most modern nuclear arsenal in the world? Good luck with that.

Those subsonic aircraft start flying from Germany and the Oreshnik strikes Germany even before the aircraft reach Russian airspace.

They make it seem like integration of the B61 on an European aircraft is impossible. It is a glorified JDAM with variable yield. For some reason it could be integrated on the Tornado, but not on Eurofighter.

Anyway this B61 of the US is obsolete shit. The French have a better idea even with the venerable ASMP. Having to overfly a target to drop a nuke is retarded. We aren't in the 1950s.

Germany could have asked for ASMP integration with Eurofighter and nuclear sharing with France. But no, it is sucking up to the US as usual. If they need something immediately they could have loaned Rafale from France. But no either.

The EU has 430 million people, the US has 340 million, and the EU can't do its own damned deterrent when North Korea has one.

If Dark Eagle enters service, the F-35 with air dropped bombs is redundant anyway.

50 F-35 aircraft is at least 5 billion. You can design an aircraft for that price if you have the engines. It is the rough cost of the KF-21 program.

Even the TURKS get their own 5th gen program going, and that pretty well. When even the TURKS get their shit together and Germany does not, it is officially over for us.

The GCAP program seems the one and only working program in Europe it seems. Only Rolls Royce has the capability to produce a powerful enough engine, quite possibly the 120KN ej270. All other programs are probably using american engines and are going to be embargoed at some point, like with KAAN more engines for more prototypes are refused.

You're right in your statement that the purchase of the F-35 serves solely to satisfy US industry and the US government. I would also add that integrating the ASMP into the Eurofighter poses the same problem as integrating the B61. France would demand the plans for the aircraft just as the US did. Eurofighter GmbH is a consortium of Airbus, BAE Systems, and Leonardo. All of these companies are profit-driven and would never transfer their intellectual property to a competitor.
In my opinion Germany signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in 1954 and should accept it.

Germany playing to make themselves a target.
This is just a rehash of the Cold War when the US deployed the Gryphon in Europe.

The US can't even make something new. Still the same tired play book. Russia will just build Oreshniks.

Europe will be under a trigger edge where everything can be nuked in minutes if someone makes a mistake like before the INF Treaty.

The US is basically using Europe as a missile sponge so they themselves won't be nuked as hard.
