A few members suggested attacking civilian infrastructure to bring the people on their knee. It isn't only Ukraine but in other debates of wars between China and Taiwan or SEA nations. Not that it isn't distasteful but in the reality such tactics are very common and it is only war crimes if you were enemies of the West.
I don't think this situation should be compared to a hypothetical attack by foreigners on Taiwan/China at all.
In the case of Taiwan, America is the one that threatens. They're an actor with a proven record of war criminality in wars where they are the aggressors. They have also proven official statements of genocidal intention against multiple peoples, among which is China.
Destroying infrastructure to hinder American threats in Taiwan would not be in any way comparable to what Israel is doing. It would more be like the Soviet union torching it's own supplies when they were retreating in ww2. If infrastructure within China is seized and used to aid genocidal invaders, China needs to destroy the infrastructure and it's treasonous operators.
Not here but everywhere. people are defending Israel. I don't think I can speak candidly in many place with the topics of Israel and Palestine. Both Hamas and Israel have crossed the line but it is only Hamas that got condemned. Sadly, I fear Israel is giving a free pass that could mean it might actually do a ethnic cleansing. If Egypt agreed to the US and Israel's demands of hosting Palestinian refugees, it is likely Gaza Strip would be no more.
My point is, if you have been paying even the smallest bit of attention to the news, it is not anything new that the west is genocidal.
Ethnic cleansing, maybe will happen. It is standard for the uncivilized west and their puppets.
What is more important is if this overall situation will contribute to weakening the enemy, or strengthening them. And it is pretty clear it will result in the former. Plenty of new opportunities have opened up, and I don't even think the main act has started yet. I think patient and hopeful expectation is the stance Chinese viewers should have to these events.
