What is bachelor degree of Arts degree in Economics?

Is that a thing?

How does this background qualify her for tech/economic war against the PRC? I’d argue that I am a far better candidate because:

1) I have Electrical and Computer Engineering background and industry knowledge in semiconductor and software development. Admittedly a lot of my semi knowledge is out of date, but I have logged at least 100 hours in a clean room, compared with 0 for Raimondo.
2) I am fluent in the Chinese language and understand the Chinese mindset a lot better.
3) When I have messed something up at work, I own up to it instead of lying to management or push the blame to someone else.
4) I follow the semiconductor thread on sinodefenceforum.com where lates info gets leaked. Raimondo relies on yesmen/women who feed BS information based on existing prejudice.

It's a bachelor's degree in economics. Harvard only offers a B.A.(Bachelor's of Arts) for studying economics. Other universities offer B.A, B.S(Bachelor's of Science), or B.Ec.(Bachelor's of Economics) depending on their own criteria for awarding bachelor's degrees. They are largely interchangeable in the job market because no one cares what kind of Bachelor's you have as long as you have one.
Harvard is a "liberal arts" college in contrast to a vocational school. You learn general knowledge which includes STEM and humanities rather than applied knowledge for a specific career. The term dates back to classical antiquity as a means to distinguish scholars from apprentices.

Because in western politics today competency is no longer a required trait, you get positions based on who you are and who you are happy to sell out to.

Your experience in semiconductors would actually make you less suited for the position. If you know something then you may realise something is not right. They prefer brainless automatons who rely entirely on consultations with "advisors" for policy decisions.

There's your 2 main reasons for why you aren't a better candidate lol.

Honestly not sure which one of the 2 is the bigger one as well lol.
