Found an article from 2017 where the Huainan Public Security Bureau Tianjia'an Branch organized an event on World Intellectual Property Day (April 25th) with schools as part of a campaign about the harm of illegal piracy and obscene books which is quite common on the internet. The event raised awareness of illegal publications, and respect for innovation and creativity.

Hilariously and unfortunately, this was one of the images that was used in the article for obscene books.

What's so funny about this?

My understanding of traditional Chinese cultural and the role of the government, was that pornography was always available, and the government was always trying to stamp it out.

You just got to know what to look. Nowadays, with the internet, people gone soft. No effort needed in finding pornography.

The old days, you got to work for it, and look around in the back alleys.

That the policeman would should how he busted some porno guys and the piracy guys in one round up is not something to be laughed at.

Supply just went down, in the old days. Look at what happens with supply side disruptions today. This is a serious matter.

I think it's funny since it's about Touhou's Reisen Udogein Inaba in a questionable doujin depiction, and Touhou seems to be a thing now on this forum since cookiez post.
