Hey..you can't load bombs on a 737:D ..yet!!..the USN will in about 6 years have an 737 varaint called the P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft to replace the P-3....but of course it won't land on a CVN...

Re: Fake pictures thread

Hi, I think the above two pics should be called funny pics rather than fake ones... agree?

Re: Fake pictures thread

Fake pics can be funny too. They were faked in the first place in order to be funny. Unless the USN gets up to unauthorised hijinks when no one's looking and Al Quaida has a secret arsenal of magic carpets...

Ha ha, look at that. Surely, no one as important as the American President would make a fool out of himself like that and go play dress up on an aircraft carrier...ha ha....I can't believe anyone would make a picture that fake... oh wait its real.

is this photo real?

I got this picture from a Chinese miliary web. I do not think it is true.
The picture shows that a Luda 051 (161) was so near to a US carrier and 2 F-18 on the carrier were ready to take off.
I do not think a US carrier fleet can allow a foreign war ship to be so near to the carrier. What do you think?

Let "Big Daddy Popeye" straighten this out....
1) You are correct.
2) The USN would never allow an combantant ship of another nation to get so close unapposed unless it was some sort of joint operation, training or excersise.
3) Those aircraft are from the USS Harry S. Truman(CVN-75) which is an east coast CVN and air wing. Look closely. The "AC" on the tails of of those Hornets tell that those aircraft belong to CVW-3 which is assigned to CVN-75. As far as I know the PLAN has yet to operate in the Persian Gulf,Medterrain Sea or Atlantic.
4) CVN-75 is presently located at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth VA. It returned from it's last deployment in April 2005.

That link above is an unoffical "USN CV lover" web page. It originates from Japan. And tracks the location of USN CV's. It is very accurate in my estimation. I have bounced it against

for accuracy many times. There are some mistakes in the archives. But not many.

Could you post a link to that web page that originally posted this "PS" picture? Thanks!!!!
