this wiki article says (google translation of "Il est entré en service sur les de la (FREMM et FREMM DA) en 2015"):
"It entered service on the Aquitaine class frigates (FREMM and FREMM DA4) in 2015"
but the article from the post right above says
"Receiving the first batch series of missiles for FREMM is expected in January 2017 (instead of originally 2012)."
("La réception du premier lot de missiles de série pour les FREMM est prévu en janvier 2017 (au lieu initialement de 2012).")
Euronaval 2016: NCM software frozen ahead of test firing
Software development of the naval cruise missile (NCM), designed and manufactured by MBDA, has been stopped ahead of more complex practical tests in the coming months.
The first live firing of an NCM by a Marine Nationale -class submarine will take place in 2018, the latest development in the long running programme for the Marine Nationale.
However MBDA officials said that international markets were also of interest and the system will soon be the sole option for firing from 21 inch torpedo tubes, it was claimed.
One potentially key selling point is that the company does not have any inbuilt access to the system once it has been delivered to a foreign state.
‘We don’t have keys [to shut down the missile]. We are offering full sovereignty [of use] and will produce around five to ten a month, there is not the need for more than this,’ said the official.
The NCM software is now frozen ahead of qualification at the end of the year. It is expected that the Marine Nationale will perform five firing tests – two from Barracuda submarines and three from the FREMM frigate – in the coming years.
In December 2006, MBDA received the notification from the French DGA of the development and production contract for system and the first trials started in 2008.
The first test firing of the missile was carried out by the DGA in May 2010 using a FREMM frigate configuration from a A70 Sylver launcher, followed by the first submarine launch in June 2011.
First test flight of Rafale pod Talios
The pod TALIOS new generation of laser designation (Targeting Long-range Optronic System Identification) has successfully completed its first test flight on Rafale.
The test flight was carried out from the base of Istres by Dassault Aviation in the F3R Rafale program. The prototype pod Talios took off on July 27 in a single-seat airplane for a flight lasting more than 2 hours.
The test flight has collected images taken through a "day" and test score performance and telemetry, says Thales.
Designed by Thales optronics TALIOS is the first targeting pod to cover the entire decision chain, from intelligence gathering to neutralization. The pod is equipped with the latest generation of high-resolution electro-optical and infrared sensors, a stabilization of the line of sight and image processing. Its capabilities range from deep strikes with precision-guided munitions, identification of air-goals and close air support, day and night.
The pod TALIOS equip the Rafale of the army of the French air and the Navy. It is one of the advanced Rafale F3R standard. The first flight of the pod Talios was conducted under the aircraft Mirage 2000 test bench development tests and performance measurement will continue throughout the year 2017. They will lead to the qualification of equipment on the one hand, and the qualification standard Rafale F3R planned for mid 2018.
The Law of Military Planning provides the command 45 pods for the Air Force and Navy, 20 of which have already been ordered by the DGA to Thales. Deliveries of the series of materials will occur from 2018.
