Zhang Liu takes part in a drilling in the jungle at the border area near Myanmar in Dehong Dai-Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Yunnan Province, June 24, 2015. Born in 1995, Zhang Liu became an anti-drug soldier in border checkpoint of Mukang in 2013. Grown up in an affluent family in central China's Hunan Province, Zhang said that being a soldier had always been her dream, which drove her to join the army after graduating from high school. Being a front line anti-drug force, the border checkpoint of Mukang has captured about 100 kilograms of drugs since the beginning of this year. Wang Xiaoyuan, 22, is a health worker on Frigate Jingzhou. Inspired by her late grandfather who fought in the Korean War, Wang joined the navy after graduating from university in September of 2014.
