At least, a bird strike is better than engine blades rubbing or a software error...Single engines jets are especially vulnerable. Just compare the number of F-16 losses versus F-15 losses or J-10 losses versus flanker losses.

That may have been an issue in the past, but how true is it today with modern jet engines?Single engines jets are especially vulnerable. Just compare the number of F-16 losses versus F-15 losses or J-10 losses versus flanker losses.
lol wut? The footage looked like daytime to me.So prelim disclosure from the Air Force the F-35 was on approach at dusk when visibility was low and the pilot lost control. Exact cause is now being investigated. Pilot ejected safely, plane was completely destroyed.
That news reporter also said The F-35 was returning "in the dusk sky". So yeah, I'm sure they're also just repeating the Air Force's own statement.lol wut? The footage looked like daytime to me.
The kid in that clip says smoke was bellowing out of the plane which to me means some sort of engine malfunction. Why are they talking about poor visibilty?
And what's with the appeal for more eyewitnesses? The pilot is okay, why not just ask him what happened?
The way it bounces before collapsing makes me think someone left the brake on
Just let go of the Goddam emergency brakes! Why didn’t they stop the towing truck? Obviously something is wrong.
