Oh and an obligatory Eurofighter propaganda video. I love those limey brit bastards they are always with us. The eurofighter is the second or third best fighter plane on the planet.

Oh ok sorry. :/ Here is a video of the Joint Strike Fighter. Its a nice plane but not near a sexy and lethal as the Raptor.

JSF..Not quite the plane an F-22 is but still very lethal. I know the USMC will be happy to get them to replace their aging Harriers. Once the JSF is on line the USMC will have a close air suppourt/ light attack/ fighter all rolled into one. I just hope the DoD does not cut the program too far back. Already there are rumblings that the USAF will recieve zero JSF's.

I haven't heard the USAF might not get any JSFs but rather that the CTOL version could be cancelled and that the USAF would have to buy the more expensive carrier version ($60 mil. vs. $45 mil.). For awhile there were also rumors the USAF would split its order between conventional and V/STOL(Marine version) versions. The most recent i have heard (this week) is that the USAF will still get the conventional take off/landing version, partly because this is the version with the most export potential, (and the entire JSF program depends very much on exports) and of course partly because USAF brass wants nothing to do with a heavy, less well performing carrier variant.

Thanks for that info walter. I just assumed that if the USAF canceled it's order that would be it for the USAF. As for the USAF brass..they hate the USN air wing. they just simply hate them. I think they look upon the USN as a competior. Well I guess the USN is competing for those coveted DoD dollars for every program.
