Well, they still have EJ2000 itself, and MTU still exists. Up to debate if MTU is truly up to the task to design an engine by themselves, but they do indeed have money to throw at problems, and their starting position is certainly better than Korean/Turkish ones.

Furthermore, as China recently shown, one may want aircraft, or they want to make excuses.

Even with EJ200(230/270?)
3-4 engines aren't best, they aren't somehow legally prohibited either.
Alternatively, idea to build their bespoke Ural bomber can be shelved, and they may do away with a more moderately sized aircraft.
2 weeks ago Germany placed an order for 20 new EF Tranche 5 and 52 spare engines. So theyre still building some.

I don't really think it would make sense to develop a new combat aircraft engine for Germany. I mean together with Sweden and Spain we're probably talking about 500-600 airframe at best. And it would take a huge amount of time. The license production of the GCAP engine is the best option for this IMO. Or maybe even the French engine, even though Noone likes the French.

MTU however should definetely launch a program to develop a smaller engine for uav's and cruise missiles. But this will take some years and for the time being, we're dependent upon market available solutions.

Just excuses to buy obsolete American shit

2.28 kN is about the power of a Tomahawk engine.

Don't tell me the Russians could make a powered glide bomb in a couple years and you can't make a long range cruise missile.

Greek Leopard 2A4 tanks were equipped with Mangal protection. A military parade was held in Greece to commemorate Ohi Day, another anniversary of the beginning of the struggle against Nazism and fascist occupation. At the military parade in Thessaloniki, a Greek Leopard 2A4 tank equipped with Mangal protection for protection against drones was spotted for the first time. This is the first time this type of protection has been used by the Russian army. The Greek version has a relatively simple protection system, protecting the tank only from munitions dropped from above. The Greek army remains one of the largest operators of the German-made Leopard 2A4 tanks. Greece has over 180 Leopard 2A4 tanks in service.

All this leopard 2 bullshit will have to stop somewhere. German factories are definitely not upping their production capabilities right now, and ridiculous clogged orders runs to the mid-century. If half of the purchasers are willing to pay upfront costs the production should easily double or triple, but no, the Europeans are so stingy that they are perfectly happy with vapor tanks that takes 15 years for delivery.

They will build new production lines as Germany is expected to place an order for ~1000 Leopards within the next couple of months.
This panthers will be built in Italy anyways.
