I have never understood how people could live on so little in Europe where everything is expensive. My cousin in Germany and her husband are both engineers and complain being too poor all the time, and they make 100k+ euro per year each (after taxes).

I mean what is their standard of living, do they have kids? I would be more than happy with 10 grands a year, albeit I am only a pesky student.

Most of us youngsters here do sub 20k annum and kinda kept floating around. Still 8.3€ for a gallon of fuel kinda sucks

They only got 1 kid. I think most of us in our late 30s, and 40s just forget how to budget now. Also a lot more expenses when you own a house. Just taxes and utilities takes out 2k a month. My property tax alone is like 10k a year.
