France hits 1100 Euros per Megawatt hours for electricity price.

The war is not the only culprit in France.

The shutdown of several nuclear reactors due to corrosion issues has contributed to the French electricity price increase as power production has dramatically decreased in the country.

Only 24 of the 56 reactors operated by energy giant EDF were online on Thursday.
I guess I can add this to the list things going wrong all at the same time in the EU. France was a net exporter of electricity.

Many here take the view this energy problem was caused by Ukraine war, when if one takes a step further back, it can be seen that the Ukraine war (itself as an extension of US sacrificing EU in this zero sum of last man standing) is itself an emergent property that arose due to the structural constraints of global peak of energy and decline in EROEI...

There is zero chance that Europe by itself can escape the Energy Trap any more than the inhabitants of Easter Island could bootstrap themselves into a type I civilization once they reached peak trees ..
