Huge congratulations to the PLAN and Chinese people for this historic achievement! Now part of an extremely exclusive club of navies (only USN has this level) I have been waiting to see this day. I did not realize i would also see a Flanker get shot off an EMALS!! That actuallt blew my mind more than the rest of the video.

In conjunction with the official footages of CATOBAR operations on Fujian from the PLAN, I believe we can confidently mention three of the notable firsts achieved:

1. First ever EMCAT launch on a conventionally-powered aircraft carrier
2. First ever EMCAT launch + CATOBAR operations of a 5th-generation carrier-based fighter (i.e. J-35) from a carrier
3. First ever EMCAT launch + CATOBAR operations of a Flanker Family carrier-based fighter (i.e. J-15T/TD) from a carrier

With these being said, here're what I do hope that the PLAN would achieve more firsts in the coming years:

1. First ever EMCAT launch + CATOBAR operation of a 6th-generation carrier-based fighter (i.e. J-XD(S)T) from a carrier
2. First ever EMCAT launch + CATOBAR operation of any type of navalized UAV (e.g. GJ-21) from a carrier
3. First ever EMCAT launch + CATOBAR operation of any navalized CCA-type UCAV (i.e. UADF-XT) from a carrier

Not a first, but finally launching the "full-fat" Carrier Flanker as it was originally conceived in the '80's (using catapult launch before being cancelled by the USSR)
Only 40 years late!

I suggest all videos were taken during the 7th seatrial:

Unarmed and likely not fully fueled.
The clock showed March 19th.
Heavy clothing.
The wave footage wake up yellow sand.
Something from "Chahuahui" in March or April. I forgot real date. They reported that a KJ-600 crew described their landing as "very soft."

It is highly likely that the 8th seatrial involved more intensive tests, such as higher-density launch and heavy-load takeoff tests . Video will probably not be released this year.

I can't understand why so many people can't grasp such a simple scenario.
Why does everyone think this is the Fujian?
Do you have any idea where Time Zone East 10 (UTC+10) is?

The quality of TWZ articles tend to be all over the place, specially when they either decide to cope or just copy/paste Blitzo's and Deinos tweets and call it a day. What really drives it down is the comment section and their refusal to moderate it at all, resulting in Reddit levels racist drivel.

Not really. They remove all the Wumao shitposts but leave the neoliberal shitposts intact.
