This reminds me of this one person at my work who has an "anti-Chinese" viewpoint.
Every time I mention any Chinese accomplishment let it be high speed rail, nuclear power plants, aircraft carriers, space rockets, 5 G wireless networks.........He responds very predictably with either:
1. China stole the technology
2. China copied the technology
3. The project was built to substandard specifications
4. The project is going bankrupt
5. The West has a superior version of it
6. China is simply just repeating what the West already did
You get the idea. Everybody here knows what I'm talking about, because they know at least one person IRL who fits this category
