Warship construction hasnt been a terribly secret business for a long time. The Americans were quite well informed about every large new Soviet build, notably including Ulyanovsk and you can find plenty examples going back before WW2 and including battleship construction. There's only so much real estate where you can build a huge warship. And there's plenty of confidential stuff in each hull no one outside selected circles would know much about either way.

@li450274625, where is the nuclear reactor? I'm going to demand an apology soon!

Another update. The circled part in the first image is the equipment used for power system test and debugging.

2022年,由中国船舶七O三所自主研制全球首台具备高温高压蒸汽输送能力的蒸汽岸船输送装置,成功对接目标船,并且已连船输送蒸汽达数百小时,一次性投运成功。

In 2022, China Shipbuilding 703 Institute independently developed the world's first steam shore ship transmission device with high temperature and high pressure steam transmission capacity, successfully docked the target ship, and has been connected to ship for hundreds of hours, and successfully put into operation at one time.

Can someone tell me the reasoning behind using a boiler/turbine setup instead of doing gas turbines or diesels? Would it be more cumbersome to use a ton of gas turbines or something like that?
