The Copium Zone, coping with some interesting orientalism thrown in for good measure

"pointed out on Twitter that June 15, the new possible date for the Type 003's launch, happens to be the birthday of Chinese President Xi Jinping and would be a "very appropriate gift."

But could be worse. On the other hand, the article is a rehash of what everybody knows and offers little to no new information, even in the way of analysis.

Hitting a new low, for the PLA Watching profession. LOL.

Yeah, that's why. They don't have much new or meaningful to write about, so quoting these non-expert experts to fill the space.

To be fair, he was quoting "Collin Koh". I think this particular writer is usually "professional". Comment section is always the copium zone though

The way The Warzone appears to live rent free in some folks heads never ceases to amaze me. A weird love hate relationship. But in any case, I appreciate they actually provide a neat new satellite shot that doesnt have death wishes to my grandmother or something plastered over it. I mean there is that.

I "enjoy" hate-reading The Warzone and getting angry at it, and sometimes it offered some interesting takes on the analysis side when they aren't being racist.

After the war in Ukraine they have become lazy, though, and could as well be called The Captain Obvious Zone

Trust me it isn't just the PLA watching community that TWZ rankles.

It's the fact that TWZ write semi-longform pieces, sometimes with exclusive pictures, but tends to make presumptive or incorrect takes across a range of topics.
