Normally I don't post CGs, but this is from a very good artist.

In the same vein, a magazine cover just for kicks. Not meant to be accurate.

Comparison of similar shot angle (Kitty Hawk and 003)

it is interesting to note the general similarity of deck layout disguises the fact the hull form is quite different.

So correlation the overall length of the chinese carrier to the displacement of an american carrier of similar length may not yield accurate displacement estimates of the chinese carrier

Wait, 3 cats instead of 2?
Yes. What's amazing is rumors about the PLA mostly turn out to be true. We were waiting for an 85,000 ton carrier with 3 catapults, conventional propulsion, and 4 arrestor gears. The rumors about the dual-band radar were turned out to be true too. The rumors are from insiders or the PLA is very predictable. I don't know which is true.

By the way, how many weapons elevators will this ship have?
And do we have any detailed info about the propulsion?

Is the EM catapults longer than the steam ones? In this CG, the right Catapult is interfering with the landing zone. Can the paint survive the engine exhaust?

Interfering of catapults with landing zones is normal and no issue, because on aircraft carriers departure and recovery are not at the same time. The bow area is used to store aircraft that have just arrived and the landing zone is used to store aircraft ready to be catapulted.
