"Exact outline to be confirmed." - Yeah, its a pure guess. I am reminded a bit of the Forrestal-class in overall shape. Maybe that was what he was using as baseline.

He says the diagrams aren't meant to be exact, just show an overall comparison. Which IMO is fair since it's hard to get exact measurements from a photo.

I know that the professionals and surveyors among you don't like such sketches and assessments ... but after a long day at work I just had to do something to distract me.

As such I'm open for any critics for this layman's try to compare the Type 002 carrier (May 2015) vs the Type 003 (March 2021).

It's huge. I think 85.000 ton standard displacement is confirmed at this point.
