These guys are off the tangent. This web is for CV-XX 003, and not be cluttered with other topics!OK, guys. Can we get back to 003 carrier topic?
The mix of commercial and military complex is just boring for me.

俺一开始也以为20MW涡轮发电机是给核鱼用的,两台刚好。 这么看来,4台合计80MW+柴油发电机,003的供电能力惊人。

At first, I thought that the 20MW turbine generators were for nuclear fish, and two were just right. In this way, 4 sets of 80MW+ diesel generators in total, 003's power supply capacity is amazing.
I believe this is in reference to this picture. Note the aft of the ship.

Looks strange for me, not like 003. Which hull is it?Module under the island
They claim those 4 reflective objects are turbine generators? No way they would put all 4 primary generators abreast of each other and in the same compartment. At first, I thought that the 20MW turbine generators were for nuclear fish, and two were just right. Any reason given why they opted for that many generators? QE2 (2017) has 6 for 110MW. The closest I found was CV-2 Lexington (1927) which had 10 for 150MW.He thought the new 20 MW turbine generators were for nuclear submarines and two turbines per sub would be perfect. But now apparently 003 will have 4x 20 MW turbines plus diesel generators (CD thread suggests 8 diesels).
Total available power estimated to be 80 MW from 4x 20 MW turbines + 30 to 40 MW from 8x 5 MW diesels = 110 to 120 MW of electricity total.

Idk. The resolution is way too low. If they are indeed generators, then they are auxiliary ones. On the CSIS photo dated to late January the 4 objects are not visible The primary generators are likely located in the main engine rooms:What's your input or opinion what the four shiny objects are?
Would like to know various opinions.
I thought we had agreed to recognize the Kuznetsov / Liaoning / Shandong propulsion system?Idk. The resolution is way too low. If they are indeed generators, then they are auxiliary ones.
