I disagree
Where is the 3rd batch of J15
Where is the LCAC
Where are the naval rotary wing brigades
All of these are handicaps for PLAN
Building ships is easy
Utilising them is not, it takes years to master a amphibious ready group
China has ship with no experience
They can’t deploy a ARG and carrier strike group
Look at RAN and the 2 x Canberra class
After years of joint excercises with USN only after 2021 will they be deemed combat ready
And another 5 years to actually carry out operations
Dilusional fan boys thinking when Carrier is launched it will be battle ready even more so when they have no planes
As you can see, this is somehow systematically happening to a lot of China’s high profile projects. You don’t see heads rolling? We all know that China would not allow such catastrophic mishaps happening continuously like this. Officials in charge would’ve been purged long before this.
I honestly don’t know why they are doing things this way. And I agree with you that merely having some key components won’t make it battle ready. Heck, even if they have all the components ready today with both of their carriers and CBGs and complete flight wings, they won’t be ready for battle for many years to come. I agree with you.
However, you cannot blame them for being careless and mismanaging things. These are very difficult projects. Without any outside help, they can only depend on themselves. They might’ve thought long and hard and evaluated all the possibilities and came up with their own plans. These plans may look very different from how others do things because the Chinese have their own concerns and unique conditions.
As a matter of fact, if they do things exactly as others have before them, we might need to accuse them of blindly following others. That’s actually the easy way. You don’t need to think long and hard at all. Just follow others’ examples. Others have done it before. Why not just follow them, which has been shown to be successful? I believe that’s how everyone thinks at first. This is indeed how you are judging them, right? Others have done it this way... How stupid are the Chinese since they are not doing the right way!
Yet, they are doing it differently. They may be doing it wrong. Very much could be. I’m in no way saying that the Chinese must be 100% correct on everything. However, the fact that they are doing it differently strongly suggests that they have absolutely thought long and hard. Blindly following others is always easy. Plowing a new path is always harder. The new path might be a wrong path, but again, you cannot blame them for slacking off and being careless.
