The J-35 is on track to be the first 5th generation fighter to be launched from an electromagnetic catapult. How ironic.

I know what you meant to write was "launched from an electromagnetic catapult from a carrier at sea" or something along those lines (as the F-35C of course has been launched many times from the US land based EMALS facility).

In any case even though there are high expectations for this excursion, it's probably better to not speak of it as if it's a done deal that it will happen.
For all we know they may only recover and launch J-15T, or maybe not even launch any aircraft to begin with.

Photos of Fujian taken yesterday or today. Posted by @sugar_wsnbn on Twitter.

Apart from one KJ-600 mockup parked behind the forward launch positions - According to @sugar_wsnbn, there is one similarly-sized and similarly-built aircraft mockup that isn't equipped with the KJ-600's radome seen parked on the landing strip.

It is said that the aircraft mockup is likely representing the Chinese counterpart to the C-2 Greyhound, which is a carrier-based transport aircraft.
