There is a vast difference between a building site and a shipyard module fabrication plant. Using photogrammetry saves a lot of time. We're talking about the most modern shipyards in the World. Besides there are many types of robust computers for sale even for use on building sites.

Probably in support of its aircraft carrier programme, China is building a second DAGUAN class troop carrier ... 1st ship „Xu Xiake“ (88) seen icw aircraft carrier „Liaoning“, so 2nd prob meant for „Liaoning-2“ (CV 17), currently under construction ... capacity up to 2,500 people

I had seen pictures of this second personnel housing vessel and thought it might be for the new carrier.

This also says something about their long term plans...in the future, for some time, they may have two carriers they are working up at the same time.
