Did Liaoning enter dry dock after her 1st sea trial? I can't remember
Yes, exactly the same procedure. Few days after the first sea trial she went into the drydock.Did Liaoning enter dry dock after her 1st sea trial? I can't remember
But this new CV is the very first of construction practice, it should not be treated as much difference as Liaoning. Actually, Liaoning being old doesn't make it worse than a new construction, it has stayed in the dry dock for a very long time giving enough time to inspect as a new construction.I think we shouldn't be so quick as to point towards the Liaoning's trial procedures as a regular standard. Remember that the Liaoning's hull have spend more then decade basically neglected before it was tended to. So it would be understandable that the PLAN would be fretting over her that much.
Being old and left out to the elements for more than a decade in a half completed form is more than enough to make anyone apprehensive of its integrity at first glance.Actually, Liaoning being old doesn't make it worse than a new construction
in that case this is likely a non event then!Yes, exactly the same procedure. Few days after the first sea trial she went into the drydock.
No one here has said the 'Liaoning's trial procedures as a regular standard', most people here do wish there is no issue and probably try to find some relevant information. But if it does has, it is what it is, people will accept it.I think we shouldn't be so quick as to point towards the Liaoning's trial procedures as a regular standard. Yes, it was planned that way from the beginning. I think we will observe this behavior with every new Chinese aircraft carrier.in that case this is likely a non event then!
Does the PLAN ever plan to do shock trials for its carriers, as the USN does ?Yes, it was planned that way from the beginning. I think we will observe this behavior with every new Chinese aircraft carrier.
