How do you know without widening Wheel chocks J35 cannot take off from Shandong?

"The super hornet taking off from indian aircraft carrier" is a mistake on my part. What they actually did was taking off from a land based ski ramp used for training Indian navy pilots who will go onto their aircraft carrier. Taking off from land base ramp need more speed than on aircraft carrier moving at speed and assisted by head wind.

The super hornet take off demostration was a sales efford by US to show that F-18E/F can take off from existing 45,000 tons (fully loaded) Indian aircraft carrier.

"Two U.S. Navy F/A-18E Super Hornets completed multiple takeoffs from the runway at Hansa Naval Base (in the state of Goa, India) that is equipped with a Ski-Jump type inclined ramp, which emulates the flight deck of the Indian aircraft carrier INS Vikrant."

Screen caps from a recently released documentary that confirm carrier strike groups are accompanied by submarines. The meteorology and oceanography services of carrier strike groups provide weather forecast for surface combatants as well as oceanographic updates to submarines.
