„Just“? :p ;)
LOL! that is a bait word.

But seriously, I think it is about time J35 should be expected to do trials onboard an aircraft carrier. Although this is not a catapult carrier, they can still do trials on arrestor wire landing on an actual moving ship, moving the aircraft with tug cart, down and up the the lift, handling in hangar etc.

However, I am just guessing that was a J35, we can't be sure what it is as it is masked.

I don't think there is any modification on Shandong "to support operation of J35".

There is no evidence that J35 cannot take off from the ski ramp. If a super hornet can take off from the smaller Indian aircraft carrier, why can't J35 fly off from a larger Shandong or Liaoning.
Without widened wheel chocks, J-35 cannot take off from Shandong, and who has seen a super hornet take off from Indian carrier?

How do you know without widening Wheel chocks J35 cannot take off from Shandong?

"The super hornet taking off from indian aircraft carrier" is a mistake on my part. What they actually did was taking off from a land based ski ramp used for training Indian navy pilots who will go onto their aircraft carrier. Taking off from land base ramp need more speed than on aircraft carrier moving at speed and assisted by head wind.

The super hornet take off demostration was a sales efford by US to show that F-18E/F can take off from existing 45,000 tons (fully loaded) Indian aircraft carrier.

"Two U.S. Navy F/A-18E Super Hornets completed multiple takeoffs from the runway at Hansa Naval Base (in the state of Goa, India) that is equipped with a Ski-Jump type inclined ramp, which emulates the flight deck of the Indian aircraft carrier INS Vikrant."
