Here's a highly hypothetical (though I do personally hope for it to happen) take:

Well, as long as the J-35 is fully ready for at-sea carrier-based trials - I believe that conducting the first ever landing trial with a J-35 on Shandong while at sea is definitely worth it.

This is especially true if China can use the occasion to "slap" US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's face right during his visit to China in the coming days - Just like how China "slapped" the face of ex-US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates back in January 2011 with the first flight of the J-20 conducted just a day after his arrival in Beijing XD

Well ... if the J-35 is already that far progressed in its flight testing is one question (which I think it is not yet) besides if it is capable to do so in principle (which I think it is); however I don't think the PLAN and SAC will risk this only for a PR stunt.

Agreed. SAC and PLAN definitely would never allow the J-35 to get anywhere near an operational carrier in the first place, as long as the J-35 (and the pilot flying it) isn't ready to operate from one.

Though, I don't think we can really blame anyone with similar expectations either - Especially considering this particular scene from the 2023 PLAN Navy Day Recruitment Promo video:

Alongside the "... let's witness the proud(?) look/showcasing of [BEEP] together..." narrating with this scene.

So... yeah. XD

Either way, a dream is a dream, a hope is a hope.

The ultimate rule, though - We should keep (impatiently) waiting for it to appear officially, and not get (too) ahead of ourselves in the meantime.

I feel the same way, it doesn't look like the H/RJZ-726-4 we‘ve seen aft and on the port side.
I wonder what is its type number~:)
Those are still that I believe (what else would they be otherwise?), just with a different tube config - 16x per module, fixed elevation vs the 24x -A variant which is tilt and pan-enabled for the ones you mentioned.

You might be right. A derivative of 726-4 series.
Medias and bloggers only mentioned four 726-4s with 18 tubes, but I cannot find a new use of rocket launcher expect what 726-4 already have.
