COVID- Why did China not learn its lesson from SARS?

Bats do not have to be the direct vector of transmission. They could transmit it to animals that do have direct contact with livestock, such as ferrets, rabbits, rats, etc.
We noticed major outbreaks of Covid-19 in mink farms in Europe, the animals being infected by humans and some workers infected by the mink. I haven’t heard anything about livestock such as pig, sheep, goat, cow, chicken, etc ... WHO has not yet determined the intermediary animal, but I am sure they will investigate whether minks could have been involved, especially since China is the largest mink farmer in the world.

For all we know, it could have been a cat that ate an infected mouse. The point is, unlike what had been initially assumed, there is very little evidence that the COVID-19 pandemic was caused by wet markets.

Bats are wild animals and probably live in close proximity with other wild animals like pangolins which come in contact with them. Unless your raising livestock in a bat cave. How can they get in contact with bats?

Bats fly all around the general outdoor area of the bat cave. People walk into caves for exploration and to collect it's feces for fertilizers. I think there was a study that 25-50% of villagers living near bat caves have some form of corona-virus or anti-bodies for corona-viruses. The whole wet-market theory was prob a combination of jumping to conclusion because of sars1 and local authorities hoping it was only a wet market issue. A villager could of gotten on a train to wuhan and cause the pandemic. Some theory is that covid19 has been out in the wild for many years but something triggered a mutation that caused it to become symptomatic.

Btw, killing higher level animal is brutal and disgusting. Hard to convince myself to give it up, but i've reduce my personal intake by 2/3s.
