If he got infected from his mother, why can't he quarantine with her?

According to news, his mother was found infected first and already stay in quarantine center. The boy was found positive later, he was sent to the quarantine center that his mother stays. I'm not sure if he will stay with his mother or not. He will not be alone anyway.
Because you can continually reinfect or transfer their viral loads over one another.

There is always a possibility of getting an even higher virus load from the others under quarantine. That is why it may not be a good idea to get admitted into a hospital if the symptoms are on the mild side.
Whatever the result, the mother mustn't blame herself, it could've happened to anyone.
