China is already using the traditional method for the covid-19 vaccines so far, but they are still lagging the US in vaccination. By speeding up vaccination, that will prevent local variants, and crank up the economy sooner.

Not really. The Chinese demonstrated that they are able to control the virus quickly through lockdowns and that they don't depend on America for food anymore. I said this over and over again: China no longer needs to depend on the US for exportation. What do you think the dual circulation strategy is for? Plus, the reality is America depends on China for life. Otherwise, where else will the US get its cheap products from? If China cuts its exportation to zero, due to the economic and political structure of China and its booming internal consumption, they can rapidly redirect former exporters to become domestic businesses. However, the US can't. Despite many people claiming that the jobs will come back and that America will be great again, the reality is Americans will become really f**king poor and nobody will buy their products thanks to costs. Plus the interim in which the factories are being set up in the US will cause significant damage to the US economy thanks to inflation. This "China depends on America for food" mentality really needs to go.

We are talking about vaccines here, not trade. China needs the mRNA vaccines with higher effectiveness. When your own people are vaccinated with traditional vaccines, you are not going to open up the border allowing in foreigners vaccinated with more effective mRNA vaccines as they will still bring in the virus.

You mentioned something about their economy and I responded. Also if mRNA vaccines are useful and effective, why would the virus be active? That doesnt even make sense.

I inferred what his thinking was based on his statements and countered it while using a little bit of hyperbole for emphasis. However my point still stands.
