So True. Judging from what we see on Anglo press, the west would rather see the people in Third World nations die en masse than have them use Chinese vaccine. Go Figure. Perhaps they see it as a Jai Democracy thing.

What the West wants is for the third world to hate China. Turning brother against brother. That's what they're best at doing.
The only problem is that while they may succeed a number of times, the moment this doesn’t work, the consequences will be severe. Also to note is that the west seem to be reaping what they have sowed and it doesn’t look like this will end any time soon

It is bad because the government has to rely on 3000 police officers to enforce a lock-down of 10000 inhabitants. So basically although a region within Chinese cultural sphere, Hong Kong is not much better than the west in terms of unity of populace with the state. I think Hong Kong is not alone in east Asia in this regard. The reason is that all of them had western countries uprooted their tradition.
China should be less worried about whether it will be formally accused than what the truth actually was.
I don't know how Covid-19 started, but isn't it strange that the first outbreak of a coronavirus 96% similar as that found in Yunnan cave bats just happened to occur in the city with two Biosafety labs conducting gain of function research on Yunnan cave bat coronaviruses? Even if they checked their logs and didn't find this strain, it has to make you uncomfortable. A bat is unlikely to just fly all the way from Yunnan into central Wuhan for no reason.
If it turns out that this did come from the lab and it was covered up, then Xi Jinping has no choice but to resign. You can't mess up this bad and still be leader. He's be a liability for China at that point. A single comrade can't be put ahead of the interests of 1.4 billion people.
In any case, if it didn't come from a lab then it's in China's interest to find the real cause of Covid because otherwise these nutcases will keep going on with their conspiracy theories.
