What happens if you take a dose of one vaccine and then the second dose is another vaccine?

You shouldn't, you have to take the exact same vaccine or else it's like starting over again.

That said, you might get more immune coverage against more virus variants.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to get multiple vaccines assuming no safety issues.

Every year the Flu vaccine cocktail consists of multiple separable vaccines that immunizes against like 4 strains if used together. How they do this depends on which variants they think will be dominant for the season.

If COVID does become seasonal, we can see a Flu/COVID combined vaccine. Also, progress towards COVID can also aid the development of Common Cold coronavirus vaccines.

China has drastically scaled up its vaccine emergency use program in recent weeks. Since December 15, it has administered more than 3 million vaccine doses on "key groups" in the population, Zeng Yixin, vice-minister of China's National Health Commission, said at a news conference Thursday.

I would strongly caution you against falling for the identity politics of the West. It's not about "white" vs "colored" (I hate that term btw, as it implies being caucasian is normal while other ethnicities are aberrations). That's a narrative those in power use to divide the people.

When you focus on identity politics, you lose sight of who the real adversary is.

Western media attack Chinese achievements not because they're racist, but because the rise of China threatens the hegemonic power of the West. Racism is meaningless. It is a decoy created to misdirect the anger and frustrations of the people. Black slaves were not slaves because they had black skin, they were slaves because their nations were weak and could not defend themselves against the Europeans.

Your real enemies are the military industrial complex that is constantly in search of a new war, and the economic system that is always in search of new lands to exploit. AKA Imperialism and Capitalism.

Funny how little things have changed since 1949.
I agreed with some of your statement and disagreed with some others. Racism maybe "meaningless" but it is alive and well throughout many Western white communities and nations. Especially the hard core misguided Christian ones who believes that God has given them the right to imperialize the world in order to "civilize it in the name of Jesus our Lord". They do NOT see ALL human as equal in their eyes unless you abide to their mythical Christian values, just like those ISIS terrorists. Why do you think there is a rise in right wing popularity throughout Europe and American for the last 10 years? Look at the Donald Trump, who wouldn't be this popular without the support of those racist right wing groups.

Millions of Pfizer's vaccines are sitting there waiting to expire in January without the ultra cold freezers.
In the meantime, while almost 3,700 died yesterday, I'm afraid that the U.S.' vaccine rollout is not much better than their management of the virus:

Operation Warp Speed at a crawl: Adequately vaccinating Americans will take 10 years at current pace

Regarding the Sinovac vaccine, so far the biggest overseas user will be Indonesia, followed by Turkey.
The world’s fourth most populous nation is banking on both Western and Chinese vaccines, ordering 125.5 million doses from Sinovac, 50 million from AstraZeneca Plc and another 50 million from Novavax Inc., while developing 57.6 million of its own Merah Putih.

Indonesia has received 3 million doses of the Sinovac vaccine in December.

Sinovac will also ship raw material for 45 million doses to be manufactured by Indonesia’s PT Bio Farma by January. The state firm aims to produce 24 million doses a month.

First batch of China's Sinovac vaccines arrives in Turkey

Ankara is receiving 50 million doses of the SinoVac vaccine and also plans to purchase up to 30 million doses of German-based BioNTech's coronavirus vaccine.

China can probably give out the vaccines for big discount/free if it's cheap enough.

Then let the world know how many vaccines 1 America TOW missile can buy as comparison.

The good thing about Sinopharm and Sinovac's more traditional vaccines is scalability due to exponential growth of the viruses for deactivation. Get more bioreactors and you can make a shitton of vaccines.

mRNA is synthesized sequentially and cannot be exponentially grown.

I think you need to be same type of vaccines such as astra and Sputnik planned to do.

Actually, Sputnik V is 2 separate vaccines, the initial dose is

type-26 (rAd26, component I) and second dose is adenovirus type-5 (rAd5, Component II). It provides insurance in case someone already has immunity to one of the adenovirus vectors.

Not an expert but Astra and Sputnik are planning to cooperate by using combinations.
