Yes. Does anyone here remember the UK trying to score political points against China by flying all the British people back to Britain from Wuhan. Talk about pure political theatre and publicity stunt.

And the funny thing was, it all back fire on them because no logistic was in place. And what make matters worse was the drivers of the coach that pick all these people up have their company uniform on for 'protection" whereas all the medic staff and anyone else had the full Protection gear........... sitting next to the drivers! Lol. No wonder the drivers was looking worry! Lol

In NZ our front line staff who have first contact with returning citizens were never tested for covid. When discussing which countries handled Covid well. China never gets a mention. Sweden and Vietnam get held up as hhandling the pandemic well.

How can China, a communist, collectivist, one party state possibly do better than capitalist, individualist, "democratic" countries, despite the plethora of evidence. If it's true than perhaps both the dogma that democracy solves all problems, and the publicly accepted image of China in the west isn't true.

But no that can't be right, so let's not think about it too hard.

What happen in India should had happen in China, that should be the norm. Is the image that they wanted desperately to happen, but they under estimate the CCP and the Chinese people.

I wouldn't go that far. We are far far away from the end of mankind. We've had failed vaccines and vaccines with strong side effects plenty times before. To mankind as a whole, this virus is nothing. Our ancestors had gone through much worse. We, as mankind, WILL no doubt get pass this, one way or another. It's up to everyone of us to make sure that we, as individuals, can get pass this obstacle.

I saw on tv a couple months ago a news segment about the various ways of testing to see if a vaccine works because people were anticipating quick results and one mentioned was this method and an expert there said no civilized country would do such a thing.
