Over 92,000 mink will be culled in northeast Spain after testing revealed almost all of the creatures at a farm in Aragon were infected with Covid-19.

Aragon’s Agriculture Minister Joaquin Olona said some 92,700 mink will be slaughtered “to avoid the risk of human transmission,” after two more workers tested positive at the farm this week and the latest testing of the mink revealed that 87 percent of the sample were infected.

Seven workers tested positive at the farm in Puebla de Valverde in May, after the wife of an employee was found to have contracted the virus. The farm was then placed under close observation.

The mink are believed to have been infected by one of the workers. However, Olona said it isn’t clear if “transmission [is] possible from animals to humans and vice versa.”

Aragon is a coronavirus hotspot in Spain, with over 250,000 cases and 28,000 deaths recorded since the start of the outbreak. The farm will be compensated for the loss of the mink, which are bred for their fur.

Hundreds of thousands of mink have already been culled in the Netherlands and Denmark. Two farm workers were infected at a mink farm in the Netherlands in May, in what the World Health Organization told AFP could be the “first known cases of animal-to-human transmission.”

WHO epidemiologist Maria Van Kerkhove told a press conference in June that ongoing probes into the cases in Denmark and the Netherlands suggest “there were individuals who infected the minks, people who infected the mink, and in turn some of these mink infected some people.” She said that it is a “very limited” transmission between people and the mink, and that the WHO is learning about “what this actually means in terms of transmission and what role they may play.”

In other words the US wants China to clear their vaccine with the US first just like how China's handling of coronavirus had to follow the US's...
The US first accuses China then Russia for stealing of their vaccine research. I don't know how much degree such accusation is true but it seems that the US wants to tell the world that only the US is the real Savior. If one day China or Russia develop a vaccine first, that is US's effort. China or Russia just steal them.

I remember seeing some joke on YouTube:
US: Where is our 5G?
CIA: China has stolen it, that's why we don't have 5G now

This is the most official data I have read regarding vaccine development. I think we can expect results next week from their Phase 3 trials. Article from CNN.

around the world, and 23 of them had started clinical trials involving humans. But only two have reached Phase 3 -- the last scientific stage before approval to be marketed -- which requires large-scale trials with thousands of individuals to assess the efficacy and safety of the vaccine.

Sinopharm and G42 Healthcare, based in Dubai begins phase-3 Covid-19 vaccine clinical trial.
The west MSM will now spin this trial as something sinister.

The world's first phase-III clinical trial of a COVID-19 inactivated vaccine formally began in the UAE on Thursday as cooperation flourishes between Sinopharm, the leading vaccine producer in China, and G42 Healthcare, based in Dubai.

The first group of up to 15,000 registered volunteers - including UAE nationals and expatriates - received the vaccine at a medical center Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Hamed, Chairman of the Department of Health of the UAE, was one of the first to participate in the vaccination trial, according to a statement released by G42. The trial showcases the UAE health authorities' confidence in Chinese-developed vaccines and its commitment to work with China to overcome the pandemic through collaborative efforts, experts said.

More than 1,000 Sinopharm employees, including the head of the company, have been voluntarily vaccinated, as its phase-I and phase-II clinical trials showed promising results with few adverse reactions compared to other vaccines currently undergoing trials.

The inactivated vaccine researched by Sinopharm has proven to be effective to all strains of the novel coronavirus detected so far, Yang Xiaoming, the head of Sinopharm, told the Global Times on Monday.

The trials are currently being operated by health practitioners from Abu Dhabi Health Services (SEHA) that are also providing facilities at five of their sites in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, in addition to a mobile clinic, to ensure the trials are readily accessible to the volunteers participating in the program, according to a statement by G42.

G42 Healthcare and SEHA are working toward a minimum of 5,000 participants in the first stage of the program to ensure the reliability of the results.

The UAE was the preferred choice for the cooperation partnership to conduct the phase-III trials for the inactivated vaccine as the nation is home to more than 200 nationalities, allowing for robust research across multiple ethnicities, increasing the vaccine's feasibility for global application on the success of the trials, said the statement.

Tao Lina, a Beijing-based vaccine expert, told the Global Times that it is normally quicker in clinical trials to see the effects of the vaccine in areas with higher incidence of infection.

Worldwide a total of 13.7 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 as well as 586,000 deaths as a result of the coronavirus are reported as of press time.

Canada, Brazil and the UAE have all hosted Chinese-developed COVID-19 vaccines in phase-III clinical trials.

Currently, there are three vaccine candidates across the world in the last-stage of clinical trials; however, two of them have reportedly not yet been vaccinated as of Wednesday, according to data from the WHO. Tao expects that the first successful COVID-19 vaccine in the world will likely be one of these three candidates.

There are more than 3 million infections in the United States, more than 2 million in Brazil, and more than 1 million infected people in India.

In one month India will have overtaken Brazil and in two months India will top the list.

The difference between India and the USA: With its emerging country status, India has no chance of preventing the virus from spreading. When India goes into the lockdown, people die of hunger. The US is more developed, it could have organized a lockdown, and yet the population would have survived - as it does in China.
