These are results of systematic cultivating selfishness through every aspect of life. Or the ultra-capitalist mutation into social life and to man's mindstate. We have to ask, why USA and it's people reacted like that to a pandemic? Historians and sociologists of the future will have a lot of material to dig into
I wouldn't blame him. He made the wrong call, but has changed course.

More corona-parties (not quite as stupid as the above, but still pretty stupid)
They're going to throw Chinese Americans in internment camps within my lifetime.
The louder these far right nationalists like Navarro / Cotton / Pomeo etc. squirms and cries about China, the more you know that China is doing well and is on track.
It would be a red flag if these China hawks suddenly started praising China. Just like when Trump spoke on how he trusted Xi to handle COVID, what a great leader he was, etc. in February because Trump thought that COVID would affect China only. Once it hit U.S. his tone changed.
I do not trust them. Fauci, along with the whole US CDC, had been complacent since the start of this pandemic. They were advising and putting pressures on foreign government to allow passengers off risk-infected cruise liner without quarantine and only with token temperature checks. This was all happening after it was know how infections this virus is based on experience on the Diamond Princess. They only changed their stance after those cruise ship started to land on US shores.

He is a nutcase. But he is far from the only one. Another nutcase is Adrian Zenz, a German, and a Christian far-right extremist, who is behind the Xinjiang sterilization BS. I'm shocked, shocked to find out that he was the same person who accused Xi Jinping personally asked WHO to suppress information about human-human transmission of COVID-19 on Jan. 21, citing "German intelligence" (meaning: non-existent totally made up "evidence"), while one day early, on Jan. 20, NYT published the headline “China Confirms New Coronavirus Spreads From Humans to Humans.”
