Not sure if anyone can answer this because the origin of this virus is still a mystery but that does not prevent people trying to figure it out
I am not insinuating that the virus come from US but a bunch of sleuth try to reconstruct and figure it out who is patient no 1 Here it is
George Webb is an investigative journalist in the Washington, DC area that discovered the DNC blackberries and hard drives used by DNC Chairwoman's IT assistant, Biden Awan. Webb produced a fact witness, a Marine named Andre Taggart, and Taggart confirmed the government marked blackberries and drives stashed by Awan in his home. Webb also interviewed a Capitol Hill staffer with a three decade relationship with Joe Biden that provided insider information about Biden Awan that was later confirmed in a House hearing. The House insider also left the phone with Webb which had Congressional markings, and the blackberry mapped to a DIA staffer on Capitol Hill in the Human Intelligence Services.

yes corona virus is important and affect all of us literally And should not be politicized we should get the news from expert like Dr Fauci which I believe has integrity and expertise

I don't know why people are even buying masks for themselves. They're more effective for people who are already sick wearing them, not the other way around. Unless you're wearing a biohazard suit, you walking out in public is not going to stop any aerosolized virus from sneezing or coughing from getting into your eyes so it's sort of pointless not to mention the residue left on the skin and clothes. Do people take a shower right after being in public? The chances of catching any bug is going to be the same with or without wearing masks.

oh I don't mean to politicize anything, I'm asking from the operational perspective:
cases mounting in the Far East, then Europe ... the CIA couldn't figure the virus was coming to the US, really?

The problem is people don't know if they are sick until it is too late. If most people wear masks, the few who are actually sick are less likely to spread it to others.
I wear mask, I leave my clothes outside, and I take a shower after I take off my clothes.

What siege mentioned is one good reason for everyone to wear masks.
Another good reason is that masks do protect you. COVID-19 is NOT spread by air, it is spread by droplets and by touching surfaces with the virus and then touching your face. Masks protect against droplets, hand washing protect you against contaminated surfaces.
Front line workers and those patients already in hospitals need them more for sure; but, having a nominal amount of face masks yourself and using them properly and appropriately would and could break the spread chain. Properly used in appropriate circumstances, it could at least decrease the viral load you would have otherwise.
I for one changed the privacy door knobs and handles in my home to brass ones last weekend. Every bits help.
