I think global pandemic is pretty much confirmed at this point. The real question is how much it will damage economies on a global scale. Finding a cure or vaccine is critical for minimizing damage.

This series of tweets actually showcases not only how cruel but also how stupid these HK youngsters are.

Needless to say, celebrating others' sufferings is obviously very cruel. This is indeed very uncivilized.

She is also stupid because the officer's infection actually is a strong sign of community spread of the virus in HK. She feels festive about a virus spreading like a wildfire in her own community?! With this kind of stupidity, I don't see how they can succeed in anything... It also kinda tells you the quality of their ideals. If an ideology/belief is attracting a bunch of stupid and cruel people, it's not a good ideology.

Apparently there were corona virus outbreaks in Shandong and Zhejiang yesterday that accounted for over 230 new cases outside of Hubei. The number would’ve been 31 if the friggin wardens actually did their job.

Some unofficial source claims that the spike of cases on 2/20 was caused by 2 outbreaks in two prisons.


COVID-19 update:

I decided to use cumulative confirmed existing cases (cumulative existing) in the table because they reflect the actual current cases. Cumulative existing = cumulative confirmed - death - cured.

I've read the article circulating on Wechat about this. It's a classic case of cognitive dissonance. The person who wrote it cannot stand to believe there are people who are willing to sacrifice their health, their beauty, and even their very lives to help their fellow human beings. Thus, they invent a scenario in their minds that those heroic individuals are being forced into what they do by the government for propaganda purposes. As if people could be forced into dedication and selflessness!
