Restructuring and in the process disrupting C-919 production and delivery for 5 months or more is incoherent.
Plenty of Leap-1C in stock, at least I am not buying it. Even Boeing and Airbus are facing shortage.
Looks like another MA-700 episode in the making except China own proprietary CJ-1000AX is waiting for CAAC certification.
So I won't be surprised when the delivery of C919 is restored, they may be equipped with CJ-1000 engine instead of Leap 1C.
COMAC has up their target delivery of C919 to 75 for this year. We are wondering how on earth can COMAC achieved this, not unless CJ-1000A is currently being mass produced. Something is happening.
BTW US GE and France Safran are equal partners in CFM international.
GE is in fact a key partner in the LEAP program, responsible and contributing to the design, development, and production, along with Safran.
