Ever wonder how COMAC resolved the thrust reverser problem on its Leap-1C engines after the incidence.
I understand among others, one is a complete inspection on all the new engines that were delivered now.
This added to the cost but the priority is on passengers' safety and there is this intense scrutiny by CAAC.

I am not insider, so let the machine answer "Ever wonder how COMAC resolved the thrust reverser problem on its Leap-1C engines after the incidence."

COMAC resolved the thrust reverser problem on its LEAP-1C engines by implementing an innovative O-Duct thrust reverser design. This new design replaces the traditional two-door "D" configuration with a single "O" shaped composite part, which improves the aerodynamic performance of the aircraft and its fuel consumption. The deployment of the O-Duct is activated by the Electrical Thrust Reverser Actuation System (ETRAS), which replaces the heavier hydraulic systems traditionally used on thrust reversers. This simplified design not only reduces weight but also simplifies maintenance and eliminates the need for corrosive hydraulic liquids.

The LEAP-1C engine, which powers the COMAC C919, incorporates a fully integrated propulsion system that includes the engine, nacelle, and thrust reverser. This integrated system, along with the pylon developed by COMAC, was designed to improve aerodynamics, reduce weight, and make maintenance easier.

"According to CCTV News, pilots for China’s domestically made C919 plane are undergoing accelerated training, and production is expected to reach 50 units this year."

50? That is an average of over 4 per month. The first two months have zero deliveries... so now they need 5 per month. Let's see if there are 5 deliveries in March...

well, they are clearly not going to hit 50 this year, but they expect to maybe hit that pace later this year. Keep in mind that every airline manufacturer deliver more toward the end of the year. This is normal.

do we know what % of the C919 is built in China ?
this topic has thoroughly discussed before many times on this thread.. let me quote some of my old massages for you..

as of 2022.. it is around 60 percent. now you can guess the localization percentage in context with 2025 year.
complete details in this report about localization and number of aviation suppliers include universities.

and 60 percent localization means include foreign firms, parts produce in mainland with local firms in collaboration.
